Round 2 P90X

Well today I am starting my second round of P90x.  The first time I started I lost 15 pounds and my goal this time is to lose another 15.  Once I lose that I will be at my ideal weight.  I know it has been forever since I blogged, but I just didn't have nothing to blog about.

Since my last blog a lot has went on, my mother came an visited from Mississippi.  My niece came and visited from Gary.  My lil bro came by and kicked it, and I just pretty much enjoyed the kids being off for the summer.  Other then those things nothing else exciting occurred.

The summer is almost over and fall will be here I hope that we all remember to just keep it real, and Stop Living. A Lie.

Congrats Grad!

I am so proud of my son Markel.  He graduated yesterday, and he worked hard to accomplish the goal of completing his primary education and we couldn’t be more proud.  Now it’s time for the even harder part of life, adulthood.  I find myself wondering what sort of things will he do next?  What kind of man will he become, and what great things will he accomplish in his lifetime going forward? Life after graduation can be very overwhelming for some, but I want him to know that we got his back, and we can’t wait to see all the questions answered and more.  We hope that no matter what he does he will always remembers how proud we are today!  Congratulations Markel.  May you dream big and live even bigger. – Stop Living A Lie

The Results Are In!

The results are in and here is the final outcome.  My husband and I have gotten closer, healthier, and new beach bodies.  We plan on doing it again starting in September just to see what type of results we can get this time, and I am looking forward to going through the journey with him all over again.  This journey has helped us to make healthier choices in food, and learn how to work more cooperatively together.  We also learned quite a bit of new things about each other’s personality , such as I am serious when it comes to working out and he likes to clown around a bit.  All this weekend as well I have been relearning what it means to be a wife, and he’s been learning about what it means to be a husband.  Being a wife means being a helper, and a husband means being a supporter.  Marriage is a serious commitment and should not be taken lightly.  You constantly have to work together to become one.  In marriage you always have to remember to treat the other mate with respect, show love, and dignity.  This journey helped me to remember again how much I adore my husband.  I hope that the next journey we take together will be as enlightening, and we can – Stop Living A Lie – together.

Be Thankful

Learning to appreciate all the things we have in life can be challenging, especially if they come easy or was something that you were just born with.  Today I just want to reflect on all the things that I have to be grateful for.  One, is my wonderful family.  I can’t say enough how much I love and appreciate them.  They have been through the fire with me and continue to show me a tremendous amount of love, and respect despite many trials.  I love you all dearly and would not have a life without you all in it.  Second my friends, the real ones that is.  It is so difficult to find friends who genuinely care about you and your well being.  Friends who will be there for you no matter what happens and will always give it to you straight.  When you find these types of friends hang on to them no matter what their hangups maybe, they only come once in a lifetime.   Last but certainly not least My God, Jehovah, and his Son Jesus Christ, without the two of them I don’t know where I would be.  They have helped me my entire life.  Saved me time and time again and although I can never repay them for their love and kindness, mercy, and patience, I can definitely pay it forward because that is what life is all about.  I just wanted to take some time today to be thankful to all. –Stop Living A Lie

To Respond or Not Respond

Think about it for a second, you hear screams that sound as if someone is being hurt, what do you do?  You may or may not have been faced with this sort of dilemma before, but if you were to be faced with something of this nature what would you do?

Some run straight to the call of distress others run far away from it, either way a response is given.  In the latest response to a troubling scream a neighbor Charles Ramsey responded to the call of distress and thank God he did!  It’s moments like these that help us to realize sometimes it’s okay to be nosey, sometimes we need to do the right thing, and like Mr. Ramsey said, sometimes we need to…”Take courage!”

This man didn’t do anything spectacular other than pay attention to his neighborhood.  It’s unbelievable to think that monsters may stay in our neighborhood, but it is possible, and only we can help to expose them for what they truly are.  Looking the other way when we see something disturbing is not always the right thing to do, but perhaps if we are not brave enough to run toward it ourselves we can do something simple like call the police and report the incident.  So next time you’re walking or driving through your neighborhood pay more than the usual attention, who knows you might save a life.  – Stop Living A Lie
